Up Close and Personal with Vectra 3D Imaging

Want to see your breasts literally grow right in front of your very eyes?  With the Vectra 3D imaging offered exclusively at the Bougainvillea Clinique here in the Orlando/Winter Park area we can show you what you’ll like post surgery. When it comes to sizing, every patient struggles with what they will look like, what they want and agonize over 25cc’s. Traditionally, sizing consists of putting implants into a bra. While we still love and use implants to size, we wanted to offer another visual to help alleviate some of the anxiety that goes along with sizing.

The VECTRA 3D camera captures a three dimensional photograph of your breasts. Using multiple cameras, it takes a number of pictures from different angles. This is used to create three dimensional images of your body.

This is just another technique to aide in the sizing process. We will still show you before and after pictures and size you using implants.  Basically, we do everything known to plastic surgery to help you with making a decision you’re comfortable with.

Are you down with D.O.T.?

Consultation Day

People often wonder what will happen at the consultation. Each office has their own protocol, so no two consultations will be the same. I’ll break down how we do consultations at The Bougainvillea Clinique and why!

-We offer consultations Monday through Friday.  Tuesdays with Dr. Hartog and the remainder of the week with his surgical consultant, personally trained by Dr. Hartog.  We understand that everyone has different schedules and commitments, so we work hard to accommodate our patients. Ideally, patients like to meet Dr. Hartog but he has to have time to operate too. If you have an appointment with his surgical consultant, at your pre-op visit you’ll meet with Dr. Hartog personally.  Bottom line is that we’ll make sure you meet with Dr. Hartog before your procedure!

-Breast augmentation consultation patients often want to size the day they consult. However, this is a very time consuming process. Therefore, we reserve sizing for the pre-operative visit.  A lot of time is blocked out for pre-op patients, so there is no rushed feeling for either the patient or pre-op nurse. Sizing is a big deal in patients minds and understandably so.  It’s our goal to make sure that each patient is confident about the size they select.

-We do show all of our consultations before and after pictures of any procedure or procedures they may be interested in.

-We tour everyone through our ACHA accredited surgery center. Dr. Hartog is the only plastic surgeon in Orlando with a proper ACHA Medicaid surgery center.

-You will receive an exact quote.  We will let you know what’s included and what’s not so that you can plan and budget for your procedure.

-We will answer ALL of your questions and help you with ANY concerns you have!  Surgery is a big step and a lot of people are hearing words, medical jargon, for the first time in their lives.  It’s our job to help break everything down and educate you every step of the way.

-Last but not least, we want to make you feel part of our wonderful family.  This will be a relationship that will last a very long time!

Haggling Over Surgery Fees

There is no question the economy changed the game for just about every single one of us out there.  Most of us have cut back and reevaluated our spending habits.  So, it comes as no surprise that patients want what they feel is the best “deal” on cosmetic surgery. While cosmetic surgery is fun and exciting, it is still surgery. Surgery must be treated with respect and taken with the utmost seriousness.

 

Surgical fees aren’t just pulled out of the air and can be wheedled down in manner of a new car.  For example, breast augmentation surgery uses implants. Implants cost us money, they aren’t free to surgeons.  Implants can cost hundreds to even thousands of dollars. There are many more expenses that go into procedures that may not occur to the average patient.  For example, many disposable items are used, surgical equipment, multiple staff members and a board certified physician to take care of you every step of the way.

Dr. Hartog takes great care to be mindful of costs from our Orlando patients to our international patients. We have our own ACHA surgery center attached to The Bougainvillea Clinique that helps eliminate the costs associated with large hospital surgery centers. And we closely monitor inventories to help eliminate shortages which aide in keeping costs down.

You deserve the best and safest when it comes to your cosmetic surgery procedure. Sometimes in life you get what you pay for and when it comes to your body and well-being, it should be considered priceless.
